✦ What we collect and why ✦
Without an account, the hours you capture, your draws and your numerology chart (first name, last name, birth date you enter voluntarily) stay in your browser (local storage). They are not sent to us.
With an account, we process: your email address and first name, to create and secure the account; your usage data (captured hours, saved readings, numerology chart), stored in our database so you can find them on all your devices; your subscription status. This processing is based on the performance of the contract.
If you subscribe, payment is processed by Stripe: we never see your card details.
Finally, we measure the site audience with Google Analytics, only if you accept it through the consent banner (consent, withdrawable at any time). We sell no data, we display no advertising and we use no advertising tracker.
✦ Our processors ✦
To operate, the house relies on reputable services, each accessing only what it needs: Clerk (account management, United States), Supabase (database for your usage data), Stripe (payments), Vercel (hosting, United States), Cloudflare (DNS management and routing of contact emails, United States) and Google Analytics (audience measurement, United States, subject to your consent). Transfers outside the European Union are covered by recognised safeguards (standard contractual clauses, Data Privacy Framework).
✦ How long ✦
Your account data is kept for as long as your account exists. Deleting your account (the "Delete" button in your settings) immediately and permanently erases your data from our database and from Clerk. Payment records are kept by Stripe for the legally required accounting periods.
✦ Your rights ✦
You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability over your data (GDPR). The simplest way: everything is already in your account (change your email or first name, delete your account). For everything else, write to contact@arkarma.com: you will receive an answer within 30 days at most. You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (cnil.fr), if you believe your rights have been ignored.
✦ Cookies and local storage ✦
Arkarma uses strictly necessary cookies (your account session with Clerk), which do not require consent, as well as audience measurement cookies (Google Analytics), set only if you accept them through the consent banner. You can change your mind at any time. No advertising cookie, no cross-site tracking. Your browser's local storage keeps your usage data (tracking, readings, chart); it belongs to you and can be cleared from your browser settings.
✦ Minors ✦
The service is reserved for adults (18 and over). If you are a parent and believe your child has created an account, write to us: we will delete it.
